Thirty years of clients, one at a time. Now bookable online.
Salone Debora has cut hair in Montecchio Maggiore since 1993 — a classic Italian salon, one client at a time, no gimmicks. Appointments lived in a paper book and a thread of WhatsApp messages, with no website and no single place to see the day.
What needed fixing.
The site had to do two jobs at once. Carry the quiet confidence of thirty years at the chair — no "excellence," no marketing gloss. And replace the manual booking entirely, in a way the owner — who isn't technical, and shouldn't have to be — could run on her own.
How we built it.
- 01
A custom booking system, not a plugin
Built on Next.js and Supabase rather than a third-party booking SaaS — the salon owns it outright, pays no monthly fee, and the experience fits the brand instead of the reverse.
- 02
The admin is an app on her phone
Clients request a slot from the site; she confirms and runs the whole day — today's agenda, the week, closures, walk-ins — from an app installed on her iPhone. The complexity stays under the surface; she just sees her day.
- 03
Editorial, not template
Fraunces italic, a petrol-and-cream palette with a mustard accent, short honest copy — it reads like a place trusted for thirty years, not a site builder.
The build, up close.
How it landed.
A presence that matches the craft, and one screen — her phone — to run bookings from. No paper book, no WhatsApp tag. The tech underneath stays invisible to her, which is exactly the point. Built fully accessible and fast, and structured to be found by people searching in Montecchio Maggiore.
